WELCOME TO ADMIRAL BUTTERFLIES
Admiral Butterflies really enjoyed the story of Wilfred and Marcel. We wanted to find out more about Moose, so we looked at the National Geographic website and found that Moose like to live in areas that have cold, snowy winters, such as Canada and Finland. We found a ‘fact file’ about Moose and decided to make a fact file all about ourselves. Moose are herbivores, but we like eating sausages and vegetables, so we know that we are omnivores. We weighed and measured ourselves using scales and metre sticks. We also made our own antler headbands so that we could pretend to be Marcel and knock apples from the tree!
Talking of trees, we have an apple tree in our school, so we decided to pick some apples to make apple crumble with. We had to peel and chop the apples and then make the crumble topping. Everyone was encouraged to kiss, lick and bite a small bit of crumble to develop our ability to try new foods.
