Red Ladybirds

WELCOME TO RED LADYBIRDS

In Red Ladybirds, we are very creative!  During our recent Arts Week, we explored a piece of work by John Nash, called Window Plants.  We used pictures of Reigate to create the background, and learnt how to draw a cat to stick onto our creation!  We used tissue paper to make the flowers and stuck on a 3D flower pot!  What do you think of our work?  We have also studied the artist Kandinsky, when learning about different 2D shapes!

We love exploring outside, on our top playground and in Forest School!  Our favourite activities include riding the bikes, searching for minibeasts and baking cakes in the mud kitchen!  Inside, we are becoming experts at completing puzzles and working together when playing board games!

Our most recent topic has focused on a story called ‘The Magic Paintbrush’ and we have been learning all about China.

We have loved trying Chinese food, including noodles with soy sauce and prawn crackers and playing in our Chinese restaurant!

We have enjoyed acting out this story and writing about our favourite part.  It’s good fun in Red Ladybirds Class!
